So I started school this week! I am taking developmental, behavioral, & human phys this semester. First day of classes is ALWAYS boring. Professors went over the syllabus thoroughly and even though I drank a bunch of coffee, I started nodding off. But I got a really good deal on my textbooks so I'm pretty happy.

Kuma got neutered this week! He's been more tolerant of me petting him but the doctor said he's to be on strict "bed rest" = no playing. It's hard to keep that little booger from playing. Here are pix of his first day back from surgery:

I thought I would enjoy the peace and quiet while he was gone but sadly I missed him. The surgery site was pretty inflamed and swollen but now it looks much better. I have to go for a follow-up to make sure everything healed up nicely next week --; I hate making the drive up to the vet but the doctor knows what he's doing so meh. I spoil him too much.

I also caught up w/some friends before I decided to close myself off before the incident; they think I got hair extensions, which I don't know if I should find it flattering or not? My hair is a lot more healthier than it was before and I really cut back on smoking. One confessed to me she was jealous of my long hair, little does she know that I haven't cut my hair for a year. And honestly, thinking about it, I don't think I'm exaggerating. We ate at J. Alexander's, sometimes a good steak & taters heals the soul:

I've been feeling doomy + gloomy for the past couple of days but gradually I've been starting to perk up. Hopefully I can keep it at bay. Sometimes it overwhelms me and I always try to figure out new methods on how to make it go away.

I miss the city. I'm seriously considering applying to med schools near/in Georgetown. Is it sad that I actually like going to school? My mom bitches all the time about how long I've been in school for and of course I'm ashamed but it doesn't mean I like to dwell on it. Sometimes I wish I could just turn my brain off, have dreamless nights, and not think.
